How To Know What to Launch Next
A simple system for finding your next product by looking at what your best customers are already buying.

If you’ve ever sat around a table throwing out new product ideas, you’re not alone.
But here’s the truth: your customers already know what you should launch next.
You just have to look at what they bought after their first order.
Repeat purchases are a goldmine. They tell you what people actually want, not what you hope they want.
They’re the easiest way to find upsells, bundles, and new product ideas that don’t need a big launch or ad budget.
Why Post-Purchase Data Matters
If someone buys from you a second time, that’s a big deal.
They didn’t just like your ad.
They liked the product. They liked the experience.
They trusted you enough to come back.
So instead of guessing what product to launch next, why not let repeat buyers tell you.
Here’s what we’ve learned from brands doing this well:
People often buy accessories or variants, not completely new products
Bundles, add-ons, and upgrades are your lowest-risk launches
You can test these ideas using your current traffic, no new funnel is needed
So how do you actually figure out what product to launch next without guessing or running a massive customer survey?
We created a system that delivers 30 unique video ads in just 30 days, specifically designed to improve Meta ad performance and scale e-commerce brands. Watch this video to see how we do it.
Here’s a quick system that gives you real signals from real buyers:
1. Find your repeat customers
Log into Shopify. Filter by customers with more than one purchase. These are your VIPs. They already like you. They’re your easiest sale. Now, look at what they bought the second time.
2. Spot the patterns
Are they upgrading? Reordering? Buying something related?
Ask yourself:
Do they buy accessories? Try an add-on or upsell.
Do they buy another of the same item? Try a bundle or multi-pack.
Do they switch categories (wallet → key organizer)? Consider launching a related product line.
Even with a small sample size (50–100 customers), you’ll start to see patterns.
3. Test the idea without building anything new
You don’t have to launch a full new product yet. You just need to validate interest.
Try one of these:
Offer it as a post-purchase upsell
Pre-sell it to your email list
Create a simple landing page to gauge clicks
Add it to a bundle builder and track the take rate
If people buy it, great. Now it’s worth building.
If they don’t, no big deal. You didn’t burn time or money.
Here’s a simple to do list for you:
Pull a report of all customers with 2+ orders
List their second purchases
Write down the top 3 product combos that repeat
Then ask:
What new bundle, upgrade, or attachment could we test based on this?
You’ll probably have at least one offer you can run this week, without launching anything new.
The next big win for your brand might not be a new product. It might be a better version of what you already sell, served to the people who already love you.
You don’t need a viral idea. You just need to listen to what your repeat customers are already telling you.
Check your data, find the pattern, and test the offer.
Then double down.
Let your customers write your product roadmap for you.
